About

JASP Publishing Inc. was formed in the summer of 2000.
Their company’s mission is to “publish books that make a difference.”
All the books written by Jason A. Spencer-Edwards and Kateline Gresseau are responsibly written and deal with engrossing social issues that are appealing even to reluctant readers. The objective of these books is to teach children life lessons in a way that is not heavy-handed or preachy. Our books have been used as a form of “biblio-therapy,” tackling the issues that are relevant to our diverse communities today.
JASP PUBLISHING INC. publishes books because the statistics say that children are not reading. We wanted desperately to do something about this—so I created a publishing company with another author, Kateline Gresseau. Our books are responsibly written and deal with engrossing social issues that are appealing even to reluctant readers.
I know our literature can benefit you personally, academically, and socially. Please enjoy the website.
Thanking you in advance,
Jason A. Spencer-Edwards

Author/Creative Writing Workshops

JASP PUBLISHING INC. is the only company licensed to use our books (JIGGY, The Journey: Solo, I’ve Got It Made, Patrol Boy, Don’t Sleep, True Grifter, The Journey: Solo II, Goof Proof, In Threes, Cornelius the Cockroach, and A Valuable Lesson) in a creative writing workshop.
These books come with an interactive chapter-by-chapter curriculum including several extended writing activities and mini-lessons.
What makes the Creative Writing Workshops hosted by JASP PUBLISHING INC. unique is that the authors of these books (Jason A. Spencer-Edwards & Kateline Gresseau) conduct the actual workshops.
This provides a unique opportunity for students to interact with the authors of literature they enjoy, as well as giving them the opportunity to create their own short stories under the tutelage of these authors.
These Creative Writing Workshops are a rewarding experience that the students cherish, and one that motivates them to create while honing their skills in reading, writing, and comprehension.
